Marionette Lines / Corner of the Mouth

As we age, the corners of the mouth turn downward and a groove begins to form between the jaw line and the corner of the mouth, giving a sour and aged facial expression.  Such facial lines and wrinkles around the mouth are effectively treated using typically an hyaluronic acid (HA) filler and sometimes a little Dysport or BOTOX® Cosmetic.

Non-Surgical Eyebrow Lift

The brows are one of the first facial features to shows the effects of aging and gravity.  Inevitable sagging, with the outer portion affected to a greater degree, can alter the shape and appearance of the eyes.  Non-surgical methods for an eyebrow lift include Dysport or BOTOX® Cosmetic injections to relax the muscles that pull down the brows, making them more symmetric or aesthetic in their placement on the forehead. This restores a more rested, natural and youthful appearance to the eyes and face. Dysport or BOTOX® Cosmetic injected with a tiny needle into the crow’s feet area (the muscle that pulls the eyebrow down), allows the eyebrows to naturally elevate.  The results typically last several months but the procedure is quick, safe and simple to perform in a lunchtime office visit.  BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport may also be used to soften forehead wrinkles and forehead lines.  One of the most noticeable changes in the face will take place around the eyes and a brow lift will remove any saggy skin and wrinkles from around your face caused by an overuse of your forehead muscles over a long period of time.

Smile Lines (Nasolabial Fold)

The area between the nose and the corner of the mouth, also known as the nasolabial fold, is the most common area treated with a soft tissue filler, like RESTYLANE®. PERLANE®, Belatero, and JUVEDERM®. These hyaluronic acid (HA) products are extremely adjustable or reversible and, as such, are great for the patient who has not yet tried a filler.  Longer-term results can be achieved with fillers like a Radiesse injection, which, while not as versatile, offers a better value and longevity for smile lines. Fillers have proven to be effective treatment for the nasolabial fold using an office procedure taking no more than thirty minutes with minimal discomfort.
