“Today we’re demonstrating the Velashape II. Now this is a Vela shape II we have a Vela III also, and they’re excellent devices really we’ve gotten very involved in this Radio Frequency (RF) technology that involves suction and the really synergistic effect between Radio Frequency and the IR (Infrared Technology) that allows really reduction and impedance so that the RF can get a little deeper into the dermis and even the superficial layers of the fatty tissues.
This demo is with the large handle using the Vela shape II and with that said we can use really the Vela III which we also have and really it’s a beautiful because its gets the target temperatures very quickly, the range that we want which is between 40 and 45 C and by effectively doing that in a few minutes, we effect the greatest change in outcomes and really the greatest effect in long term benefit for our patients.
So Vela shape is a really integral part of what we’re doing along with UltraShape which is body contouring and is really a key part of non-invasive body contouring in general. This can be used on the neck to a smaller hand piece, we’re doing studies with that now and certainly in combination with ultra-shape we’re looking at major changes in the way we think of body shaping.
