What to Expect From Your Scarlet SRF Procedure
We will begin your Scarlet SRF procedure with the application of a topical numbing cream to ensure you are comfortable throughout the appointment. After approximately 30 minutes, we will cleanse the treatment area and prepare it for the RF microneedling. We will then administer the treatment by systematically moving the Scarlet SRF handpiece across your skin.
You will be monitored throughout your session to confirm that the procedure is neither too aggressive nor too mild for your skin concerns. Most patients report that the experience is comfortable and quick.
After Your Scarlet SRF Treatment
Some redness and swelling can be expected for a few hours after your RF microneedling treatment. You may notice your skin feels warm, like you have a mild sunburn. Does Scarlet SRF hurt?
Scarlet SRF offers maximum results with maximum comfort. The microneedles are extremely thin, and the device delivers energy to the skin for less than 300 milliseconds at a time. It is the shortest heating period of all RF devices currently available. Topical anesthetic is provided for comfort and peace of mind. Most patients only feel gentle pressure and a heating sensation during the procedure.
How long is the treatment?
Scarlet SRF treatments last approximately 20 minutes for the face and 10 minutes for the neck. The time required for a body treatment depends on the size and condition of the targeted area. Unlike many similar devices, Scarlet SRF needs just one pass to treat an area. It is both time-efficient and highly effective. Additional time is required for the topical anesthetic to take effect.
Is RF microneedling permanent?
