Belotero is a unique injectable hyaluronic-acid (HA) filler that eases away and erases moderate and deep lines and wrinkles. Belotero stands out from other fillers, specifically HA fillers, because it is able to avoid something known as the Tyndall effect.
The Tyndall effect describes the appearance of HA fillers that are injected superficially into regions where the skin is very thin (such as near the eyelids). When this occurs, they cause a slightly bluish tint to appear in the treated area.
These clear HA fillers reflect light when too close to the surface of the skin, creating the blue tint. Belotero injected in superficial areas does not cause the creation of a bluish tint, making it a perfect choice for those regions.
